Push crates, logs and branches by walking into them. The force is your spirit's push strength against the object's weight; one spirit is rarely enough on the heavier crates, so pair up on the same side. Break contact before the ledge — the object coasts on its own.

Push by Walking Into the Object
Stand facing the flat side
Line up on the side you want the object to move, with no other geometry between you.
Done when: Spirit is touching the flat side, head-on.
Walk into it
Keep contact; the object only moves while you are pushing it.
Done when: The object is sliding while contact holds.
Release for an instant stop
Let go of the direction and the object stops, because there is no script carrying it forward.
Done when: Object comes to rest within a beat of releasing direction.
Use Both Spirits for Force
Stand on the same side, slightly offset
Both spirits on the same side of the object, slightly offset so neither is inside the other.
Done when: Two spirits contact the same face, no overlap.
Walk in together
Walk into the object together. The two forces compound under the physics simulation.
Done when: Object moves further than one spirit can push it.
Release at the same beat
Stop pushing at the same time. If one spirit lets go a frame earlier, the object can drift back and even knock the second spirit off balance.
Done when: Object comes to rest with both spirits still in contact, then released together.
Know where the job fits
Two-spirit force is the same mechanic that shows up across every puzzle room — see Puzzle Solutions for where a push job fits into the wider problem set.
Done when: You can name which recurring puzzle piece this push is solving.
Stop at the Right Moment
Identify the target edge
Identify the ledge, slot, or switch the object has to land on or next to.
Done when: Both players can name the same target edge.
Push until the far edge passes the mark
Push until the object's far edge is just past that target.
Done when: Object's far edge is one beat past the target.
Step back so you are no longer in contact
The object coasts to a stop on the mark.
Done when: Object rests on or beside the target edge.
Dealing With Sticky Collision
Push with a steady direction
Sudden direction changes can make the object spin. Keep the input steady.
Done when: Object tracks the push rather than spinning.
If the object refuses to budge
Line both spirits up and push together — the per-spirit force scales cleanly.
Done when: Object begins moving under two-spirit push.
If the object clips into a wall
Walk around to the opposite side and push the other way; the simulation does not always let you pull.
Done when: Object is freed from the wall clip.
FAQ
What is this site?
It is an unofficial, English-language guide hub for Fire and Water: Spirits of the Forest on Steam. It collects the mechanics, puzzle rules, crystal routes, enemy patterns, level structure, and co-op setup for the game in one place, so you can find the answer for the room you are stuck in without reading a whole forum thread.
